Overview: Day Workshop in Managing Anger

Dealing with difficult people and difficult situations can drain you emotionally and physically. It may have devastating effects on you, your family, and your work.

This workshop will help you understand why you respond the way you do to situations that anger and frustrate you, and help you to build the skills you need to deal promptly with these feelings when they arise.

You can develop ways to stop the feeling of anger sabotaging your decisions leading you to make a snap judgements that you later regret.

Who should attend?

Anyone who deals with difficult and challenging situations and angry people, or who finds it difficult to contain their emotions.

Note: This course does not deal with physical aggression or violence.

What will I learn?

  • How to identify the common triggers to challenging situations where anger is the normal response for you.
  • Understanding of your own preferred style of conflict management including costs and benefits of dealing or not dealing with it.
  • How to stop taking things personally and getting into arguments.
  • Strategies to deal with ‘put downs’ so you can get your message across and be sure of being heard.

Duration: Full day 09.00 – 16.30 hrs
